Lifting Gear Hire has over twenty five years of successful experience in the care and and control of lifting equipment.

Every time a customer hires or buys an item from us, that experience is also supplied as part of the LGH package.

Site Inspection

We can carry out regular on-site inspection of lifting tackle both for safety and statutory reasons, using the same well-proven methods we apply to our own equipment inspection.

A qualified LGH engineer will institute a colour coding system to allow easy identification of the inspection status of all equipment and this information will then be entered into our in-house computer. The database is then updated at regular intervals to allow comparison, highlight and deterioration and prompt remedial action. From this data, certification can then be provided whenever required.

Tackle Store Management

We can assume total responsibility for a customer's tackle stores, from resourcing and managing equipment to regular inspection, and even to providing advice on lifting problems.

A qualified LGH engineer will act as on-site stores manager and can be available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year if required.

Long Term Contract Hire

For customers with a long term need for lifting tackle, we offer a contract hire scheme. Equipment hire is at discounted rates and includes all inspection and maintenance costs for the duration of hire. Contract hire can be arranged for a minimum of three months and is often advantageous for overseas projects where equipment might not be readily available.

Containerised On-Site Tackle Stores

For customers who have a short or medium requirement for a comprehensive range of lifting tackle, we can deliver a fully fitted, containerised tackle store direct to site.

The stock inventory is assembled to meet consumer specifications and the store itself provides a facility to adopt all the proven good working practises of workshop and administration, as used in all our own branches.

If required, we can even supply qualified personnel to manage all aspects of a store's operation on site.
